About
About
Mission
Our mission is to improve the quality of care and treatment outcomes for individuals with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. We believe every person and family deserves access to evidence-based assessment and treatment, along with transparency regarding provider outcomes.
Vision
A behavioral health system where every clinical decision is evidence-based, every placement is defensible, every organization functions as a learning system, and every individual receives effective, outcome-driven care.
What We Do
We support providers and systems in delivering high-quality, culturally responsive, and datainformed services for individuals with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. We provide customized, evidence-based, blended learning solutions, technical assistance, consultation, and professional support services.
Our work is designed to help behavioral health, criminal justice, and faith-based organizations successfully implement and sustain evidence-based assessment and treatment practices, interventions, and innovations.
History
Since 1993, Thomas H. Coyne, Ed.D., LCSW, and his colleagues have been actively engaged in the development, dissemination, and implementation of evidence-based assessment and treatment practices. These initiatives have included national efforts such as NIDA Technology Transfer Packages and training videos, Recovery Training and Self-Help (RTSH), Cue Extinction, Contingency Management, the Addiction Severity Index (ASI), SAMHSA TIPs and TAPs, Stages of Change, HIV risk-reduction practices, Buprenorphine training initiatives, and the ASAM Criteria.
Dr. Coyne and his colleagues are widely recognized as among the most experienced and effective adult educators in the country in the correct administration and clinical application of the Addiction Severity Index (ASI), the Comprehensive Adolescent Severity Inventory (CASI), the ASAM Criteria, and the National Institute on Drug Abuse’s (NIDA) Technology Transfer Package (TTP) on Relapse Prevention, as well as numerous other topics and practices.
